ABOUT AUSTIN HOPKINS
An award-winning cinematographer, editor, and storyteller, Austin Hopkins has been on the front lines of action sports and documentary filmmaking worldwide. His work has been consumed globally through various streaming platforms, live film events, television, and social media.
Austin's background combines academia and a passion for the outdoors: he graduated from Quinnipiac University with a BA in Film, Video, and Interactive Media. He then packed everything he owned into a Subaru and drove west to Wyoming for continued adventure in the Tetons. This move led to a full-time position with Teton Gravity Research in the fall of 2013, where he became an essential member of their production and post team for seven years.
In early 2020, he founded his own business and made it his mission to use filmmaking to explore distant terrains and capture the unique personalities of wild spaces. Austin's work is rooted in creativity, quality, and adventure.
He currently lives in Boulder, Colorado, and is allergic to cats.
